Accessibility

Last reviewed: October 16, 2026

Everyone should be able to plan an event on BringWhat or join one, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control or magnification.

What we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We test pages with automated accessibility checks and with a keyboard alone, and fix what we find.

Appearance and contrast

The foot of every page lets you choose light or dark, and standard or high contrast. On Auto, BringWhat follows your device's settings, including a request for more contrast. Your choice is kept on that browser for a year.

Some text in the standard colours, such as labels and small captions, is lighter than WCAG asks. The high-contrast version meets the WCAG contrast minimum in both light and dark, in every seasonal theme.

If something gets in your way

Tell us the page and what went wrong. We read every message, and while we fix it we will help you get done what you came to do, such as answering an invitation or adding what you're bringing.
